At a time when climate change is one of the biggest challenges, it is more important than ever to take responsibility and actively contribute to the preservation of our environment. The HBT Group is proud to play its part in the fight against climate change by planting trees to offset CO2 emissions. This initiative is a sign of our commitment to sustainability and a step towards creating a greener future.
Trees are essential players in the fight against climate change. They absorb CO2 and convert it into oxygen. In addition, forests provide habitats for many species, promote biodiversity and regulate the water cycle. By planting trees, we not only support the reduction of CO2 emissions, but also the preservation of biodiversity and the protection of valuable ecosystems.
The HBT Group works together with the non-profit organisations “Deine Erde”, “Plant My Tree” and Crimex GmbH, which are committed to the conservation and restoration of forests. In co-operation with “TU TIERRA”, trees are planted in Peru for the reforestation of this region.
In 2023, we planted 100 trees in Lüdenscheid. In addition, we supported the planting of 25 more trees through our orders with CRIMEX. These trees bind CO2 and enrich the ecosystem.
Our tree planting initiative is more than just a symbol of environmental awareness. It is part of our corporate philosophy and demonstrates our commitment to a sustainable future. By planting trees, we are offsetting our own CO2 emissions and actively contributing to the global climate protection movement. These measures are part of our strategy to reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainability in all our business areas.
