The HBT site in Lünen designs and manufactures special machinery and equipment for underground raw material extraction using the longwall mining method. Around 200 employees work at this site, which was founded in 1826. As a pioneer and technological leader in longwall mining, the site, with its predecessor companies Westfalia, DBT, Bucyrus and Caterpillar, can look back on a long history of pioneering innovations.

We require the following application documents from you:

Letter of application
Curriculum vitae in table form
copies of certificates: School-leaving certificate or last interim report

We are interested in the reason why you are applying for this training position and what particularly appeals to you about it. Please explain why you think you are the right candidate: personal interests, special skills and achievements are in the right place here, as is the reason for your choice of training.

Make your application as personal and committed as possible – this is the only way we can gain a picture of you and increase your chances of being invited for an interview in the further application process.

When do I apply?

You should submit your application documents by November if possible (for a training place in the following year). First, a pre-selection of suitable applicants takes place, who are then invited to a recruitment test.

At the end of the year, the final selection takes place with individual interviews and a medical examination. We then conclude a training contract and submit it to the Dortmund Chamber of Industry and Commerce for registration.
