Like all HBT line pans the PF3 has a rolled steel design. Smoother, stronger, and harder wearing than casted steel this special design provides less friction and noise. The pan line profile is designed to maximize the contact area between the flight bar and the profile, thus minimizing contact pressure during operation. Additional features are safe dogbone technology, wear-resistant top plate, and safe transfer of traverse forces.

The PF3 is available in three line pan widths: 722 mm (28.42 in), 822 mm (32.36 in), and 922 mm (36.30 in) – with a conveying capacity of up to 1 300 tonnes (1,433 tons) per hour
